Testimonials
A wonderful house in an idyllic part of Tuscany! Have stayed here now many times and can’t recommend it enough. The pool, the bird song and the views are all just terrific. The house is spacious and equipped with everything we need to enjoy our stay. We absolutely love our times spent at Casa Zia and can’t wait till we go there again!

My family of three and our great friends spent the most blissful week at Casa Zia this July. The house is a real slice of heaven. Not only beautifully decorated but a real feeling of it being someones home. It is so private and perfectly remote. We all felt it to be a place we would like to revisit over and over again. What a joy it was to stay. Claire couldn't have been nicer or more helpful throughout.

The Region
The perfect place to base yourself if you want to visit the historical cities - Florence is half an hour away, Siena 40 mins, Arezzo (the best!) 20 mins. Or just spend peaceful days lying by the pool watching birds - Swallows & Swifts dipping into the pool, Bee Eaters swooping around, hearing Golden Orieles in the mornings and Nightingales in the evening. Always in the background the sound of crickets or frogs in the borro from the valley below.
Casa Zia is centred within the famous Balze region of Valdarno. Le Balze is believed to feature in the background of Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. The landscape is extraordinary and worth walking amongst.
